Bengal Warriorz captain Fazel Atrachali showered praise on his teammate Maninder Singh following their intense 40-38 victory over the Haryana Steelers in PKL 2024. This thrilling match marked a significant comeback for the Warriorz after a couple of disappointing ties, with Maninder’s exceptional performance being a key factor in their success. He scored an impressive 12 points, demonstrating his crucial role in the team’s offensive strategy.
In his post-match comments, Fazel highlighted Maninder’s unwavering dedication and work ethic, saying, “What sets Maninder apart is his commitment. In my decade-long experience, I've seen many seasoned players try to skip practice, but not him. He puts in more effort than anyone else and is always giving his 100% in the gym, in training, and in matches.” Fazel’s comments underscore the importance of consistency and commitment in professional sports, especially in a demanding league like the Pro Kabaddi League.
Fazel went on to emphasize how rare it is to find players who maintain such a high level of performance over time. He observed that many young players tend to fade away after a brief stint, but Maninder has defied that trend through his rigorous fitness routine and relentless dedication to improvement. This commitment has not only benefited him personally but has also contributed significantly to the overall success of the Bengal Warriorz.
Discussing the dynamics of the team, Fazel noted, “Our combination is improving with each match. We have several strong players like Maninder, Sushil Kambrekar, and Nitin, and everyone contributes in different games. That’s what makes us effective as a unit.” This sentiment reflects the collective effort of the team, where each member plays a vital role in driving the Warriorz forward.
Looking ahead to their next match against Dabang Delhi, Fazel maintained a cautious yet optimistic outlook. He acknowledged that while the recent victory has boosted their confidence, each game presents its own unique challenges that they must navigate carefully. “We plan to continue working hard in practice,” he said, “to achieve positive results if we play to our potential.” This determination to improve and adapt will be essential as the season progresses and the competition intensifies.
Overall, Fazel’s accolades for Maninder Singh not only highlight the individual talent and hard work of one player but also reflect the spirit of teamwork and dedication that defines the Bengal Warriorz as they strive for success in PKL 2024.
