We need to adjust our approach and focus on being more consistent," he said, emphasizing the team’s resolve to improve and perform better in the coming games.

As the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 heads into its second leg, the UP Yoddhas are eagerly preparing for their home matches at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Noida. Starting on November 10, this leg is expected to be a turning point for the Yoddhas, who are ready to showcase their talents and fight for crucial wins in front of a supportive home crowd. Assistant coach Upendra Malik expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming games, emphasizing how the backing of local fans can provide an extra edge for the team.

Despite a close 33-30 loss to Jaipur Pink Panthers in Hyderabad, the Yoddhas’ defensive performance was impressive. Malik commended the team’s resilience and focus, stressing the need to build on these strengths. "We are looking forward to our home leg and the support of our fans," he shared in a recent statement. "Our objective is to win future games by harnessing the enthusiasm of our home crowd."

The match against the Pink Panthers saw standout performances, particularly from defenders Sumit and Hitesh, who exhibited excellent coordination. Malik noted that a few critical errors ultimately impacted the game’s outcome, but he is confident the team has identified these areas for improvement. The team’s defensive strategy was effective in controlling the Pink Panthers’ formidable raider Arjun Deshwal, who has previously posed challenges to opponents.

Sumit’s Super Tackle on Arjun Deshwal highlighted the Yoddhas' determination to hold off their opposition, while Bharat Hooda contributed significantly with four raid points and one tackle point. The Yoddhas entered halftime with a narrow 17-15 lead, thanks to solid performances from Gagan Gowda in attack and Ashu Singh in defense.

Reflecting on the match, Sumit acknowledged the team’s efforts and the areas for fine-tuning. "Overall, we played well, but a few mistakes at crucial times had an impact. We need to adjust our approach and focus on being more consistent," he said, emphasizing the team’s resolve to improve and perform better in the coming games.

As the Yoddhas prepare to take on their opponents in Noida, they hope to leverage the energy and support of their home fans. With a strong defense, motivated players, and refined strategies, the UP Yoddhas are ready to make their mark in the league's home leg, setting their sights on winning in front of a passionate fan base and advancing their position in PKL Season 11.
