Roman Reigns, who made a few notable appearances on WWE’s SmackDown over the summer, has since entered a hiatus from the ring. However, his return seems imminent with significant changes on the horizon for WWE. Starting tonight, SmackDown will transition to the USA Network, marking the beginning of a new era for the show.
This move is part of a major five-year agreement between WWE and NBCUniversal, the parent company of the USA Network. The deal will keep SmackDown on the USA Network through the fall of 2029, following the conclusion of WWE’s current rights agreement with FOX. This shift not only represents a strategic realignment for WWE but also suggests that major storylines and high-profile returns, like that of Roman Reigns, could be on the horizon.
As the blue brand makes this significant transition, fans are eagerly anticipating Reigns' comeback and the potential impact it will have on ongoing storylines. With the new partnership between WWE and NBCUniversal set to redefine the landscape of WWE programming, Reigns' return could play a pivotal role in shaping the future of SmackDown.
