Following the launch of the iPhone 16 series in September 2024, Apple has shifted its focus to its Mac lineup. On October 24, the company teased a series of exciting announcements, and on October 28, it unveiled the new iMac equipped with the M4 chip. In a departure from its typical approach, Apple released a press release alongside a video announcement on YouTube for the new iMac.
The announcement highlights the integration of Apple Intelligence across devices, including the new iMac. This model offers a striking array of seven color options, a nano-texture glass choice, enhanced performance with the M4 chip, and a standard 16GB of storage. It features a 12MP centrally aligned front-facing camera and is priced at $1,299, with pre-orders currently available and delivery expected next week. Additionally, Apple introduced new accessories with USB Type-C ports, including a keyboard, mouse, and tracking pad.
Looking ahead, Apple is set to make two more product announcements on October 29 and 30, 2024. Rumors suggest these will include updates on the Mac mini and MacBook Pro models, both equipped with the M4 chip. The redesigned Mac mini is anticipated to feature two USB Type-C ports at the front, while the MacBook Pro is expected to offer 14-inch and 16-inch display options, along with configurations for M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips.
Stay tuned for further updates as more details about these upcoming products are revealed.
