BOE, a prominent Chinese tech manufacturer, is gearing up to unveil its latest innovation—a full-screen display with an in-display camera—early next month in its home market. The launch event is scheduled for November 5, 2024, and the new display is confirmed to be featured in upcoming smartphones from Nubia and its gaming-focused sub-brand, Red Magic.
The promotional poster released hints at a new generation of full-screen technology, accompanied by the tagline—“All-round good screen, full screen strength (translated).” This exciting development is expected to make its debut on the Nubia Z70 Ultra and the Red Magic 10 Pro series. The Nubia Z70 Ultra has already been teased as the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset to incorporate an under-display camera.
Additionally, the Nubia Z70 Ultra is anticipated to offer impressive specifications, including thin bezels, a resolution exceeding 1220 pixels, a 50MP 35mm camera with a six-blade aperture, and an under-display fingerprint reader.
On the other hand, the Red Magic 10 Pro series is rumored to consist of two models: the Red Magic 10 Pro and the Red Magic 10 Pro Ultra. The Red Magic 10 Pro has been spotted on certification platforms like MIIT and Wi-Fi Alliance, and it is being promoted as the first gaming smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Recent reports have also mentioned the Red Magic 10 Pro Ultra model, with expectations of a display size around 7 inches, while the Ultra variant is rumored to feature a larger display of over 7 inches. Additionally, the Red Magic 10 Pro Ultra is speculated to include a massive 7000 mAh battery.
As the launch date approaches, excitement is building around BOE’s innovative display technology and the advanced features of Nubia and Red Magic smartphones. Stay tuned for more updates as the event draws closer.
