Google is gearing up to expand its smartphone portfolio with the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the company’s second major attempt at entering the foldable smartphone market. Following the global launch of the Pixel Fold, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to bring refined design, improved hardware, and powerful performance. Though not yet officially confirmed, multiple sources suggest that the device may be launched globally by the end of 2025, with the India launch expected soon after.
Design and Display
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to feature a sleeker and more durable design compared to its predecessor. Leaked renders suggest that the phone will sport a larger inner display with smaller bezels and a sturdier hinge mechanism. The outer display is also likely to be upgraded for improved usability. Rumors point toward a 7.9-inch OLED inner display and a 6.4-inch OLED outer screen, both with higher refresh rates and enhanced brightness levels.
Processor and Performance
According to industry reports, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may be powered by Google’s custom-built Tensor G4 chip, which is designed to offer faster performance and better power efficiency. The chipset is also expected to enhance AI-based features, which are central to Google’s Pixel ecosystem. The phone is likely to come with up to 12GB of RAM and storage variants ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
Camera Capabilities
Google’s Pixel devices are known for their advanced camera systems, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to continue that tradition. Early leaks suggest a triple-camera setup on the rear, possibly including a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 48MP telephoto lens. The front-facing camera may support 4K video recording and improved low-light performance.
AI enhancements are expected to improve image processing, real-time HDR, portrait mode, and video stabilisation. The device may also come with new computational photography features exclusive to foldables.
Software and Features
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is likely to ship with Android 15 out of the box and include exclusive Pixel features such as Call Assist, Magic Editor, and Live Translate. The foldable form factor may also introduce multitasking enhancements and app continuity support for seamless transition between the inner and outer screens.
Price and India Availability
While the official price is yet to be confirmed, industry experts estimate that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be priced around Rs 1.45 lakh in India, positioning it as a premium foldable alternative to devices from Samsung and OnePlus. The India launch may take place a few weeks after the global release, potentially by late 2025 or early 2026.
Final Thoughts
With the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google is expected to take a more mature approach to foldable smartphone design and functionality. If the leaks hold true, the device could become a strong contender in the premium segment, combining Google’s software expertise with hardware innovation. More details are expected to surface in the coming months as the official launch window approaches.
