With increasing competition in the foldable smartphone market, Google is aiming to set a new benchmark with its updated design, hardware, and performance.

Renders of the much-anticipated Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold have been leaked online, offering a first look at what could be Google’s most advanced foldable smartphone to date. The upcoming device is expected to debut in August, possibly during the company's annual hardware event or a special launch window. With increasing competition in the foldable smartphone market, Google is aiming to set a new benchmark with its updated design, hardware, and performance.

According to industry insiders and leaked images, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to come in multiple color options, including a new matte blue and a brushed silver finish. These colors are reportedly designed to give the device a premium and distinctive look, aligning with Google’s push toward a minimalist and user-focused design language. The leaked renders show a thinner, more refined hinge mechanism which may help reduce the crease visibility on the inner display — a common concern among foldable phone users.

The device is also expected to feature a larger outer display with improved refresh rate and brightness, making it more usable in closed mode. Inside, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could house a foldable OLED panel with a high-resolution screen and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. This will provide smoother visuals for users, especially when streaming content or playing games.

Camera improvements are also anticipated. Reports suggest a triple rear camera setup, possibly including a wide-angle sensor, ultra-wide sensor, and a periscope telephoto lens for better zoom capabilities. Google’s software enhancements, particularly in computational photography, are likely to be integrated into the new hardware to deliver improved low-light and portrait performance.

On the hardware front, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may be powered by Google's latest Tensor G4 chip, an upgrade over the previous generation. The chip is expected to offer better power efficiency and AI capabilities. The device may come with 12GB or more RAM and storage options starting at 256GB. Battery capacity could be slightly larger than its predecessor, ensuring a full day of usage even with the demands of a foldable display.

In terms of software, the device will run Android 15 out of the box, with foldable-optimized features to support multitasking and split-screen functions. Google is likely to continue its commitment to extended software support with at least five years of updates.

As for pricing, while there is no official confirmation, early reports suggest the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be priced at around ₹1.45 lakh in India, placing it in direct competition with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series and other high-end foldables.

With its sleek design, powerful internals, and expected software enhancements, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could mark a significant step for Google in the foldable smartphone segment. More details are expected to be officially announced in August, with the India launch expected to follow shortly thereafter.
