HMD recently unveiled its HMD Fusion smartphone, featuring Gen 2 repairability, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, and a 5,000mAh battery. Soon after the launch, the HMD Fusion Business Edition was spotted on certification websites like GCF and CQC, but no official details were available at that time. However, HMD has now shared more information about this business-oriented variant.
The HMD Fusion Business Edition will be released later this year, bundled with Smart Outfits 1. This edition will introduce two specific outfits for business users. The first is the Barcode Scanner Outfit, which transforms the HMD Fusion into a high-performance scanner, ideal for inventory management, logistics, and courier services. The second outfit is Coppernic’s Access Control Outfit, enabling users to read Access ID Cards from virtually anywhere, making it perfect for security and access control in workplaces. Additionally, HMD will provide an open-source developer toolkit, allowing users to create custom outfits tailored to their specific business needs.
In addition to the Business Edition outfits, HMD will launch three new outfits for the standard HMD Fusion smartphone. These include:
- A rugged outfit offering IP68-rated water and dust resistance for enhanced durability.
- A wireless charging outfit for added convenience.
- A casual outfit designed for everyday protection.
James Robinson, Senior Vice President for Enterprise at HMD, emphasized the importance of meeting business customers' needs. He stated, "The Fusion Business Edition is the third in our range of enterprise-focused smartphones and offers versatility that can be adapted quickly for different workplace roles." He also highlighted the strong partnership with Coppernic, which has helped shape the Fusion Business Edition into a must-have device for workplace environments.
With its adaptable design and customizable outfits, the HMD Fusion Business Edition is set to become a versatile tool for a variety of professional uses.
