Honor, the well-known Chinese consumer electronics brand, is preparing to unveil the X9c 5G smartphone in Malaysia, marking the successor to the X9b, which was launched in 2023. The upcoming device has been officially listed on Honor's website in Malaysia, generating excitement among tech enthusiasts.
While the listing does not disclose specific details about the X9c’s specifications or pricing, it confirms that the smartphone will be available in three attractive color options: Titanium Purple, Jade Cyan, and Titanium Black.
The design of the Honor X9c 5G bears some resemblance to its predecessor, the X9b 5G, but it also features notable updates. The display is similar, with slim bezels and a slightly thicker chin, but the front camera has been redesigned to a pill-shaped module that houses both the front-facing camera and an additional sensor.
On the rear, the X9c showcases a new circular dual-tone camera module, which slightly projects from the body. This module houses four circular units, with the first two containing camera sensors and the third accommodating the LED flashlight. The main camera is an impressive 108MP, promising high-quality photography.
The rear panel of the X9c is flat but curves towards the sides, while the side panels have been slimmed down. The right side panel features the volume rocker and power button, and the bottom houses five speaker holes, a USB Type-C port, a microphone hole, and the card tray. The top panel includes three holes that could serve as a speaker or an additional microphone.
One of the most exciting aspects of the Honor X9c 5G is its industry-first triple assurance program. This includes a 365-day front and back crack replacement guarantee, a 180-day one-to-one replacement offer for purchases made before December 15, 2024, and a 36-month battery assurance policy. Additionally, the smartphone will feature a next-generation anti-drop display capable of withstanding accidental drops from up to 2 meters. It has also been upgraded for improved water and scratch resistance, successfully passing the rigorous IP65M standards and a three-minute washing test.
As Honor gears up for the launch of the X9c 5G, fans and potential buyers can anticipate a smartphone that combines aesthetic appeal with advanced protective features.
