Huawei has officially begun the pre-reservation for its upcoming Mate X6 foldable smartphone in China, starting on November 20, 2024, at 12:08 PM local time. The device can be pre-reserved via Huawei Mall, various e-commerce platforms, Huawei experience stores, and authorized retailers. The design of the Mate X6, as shown in the shared poster, mirrors the previous Mate X5 but with some fresh color variants. The available colors include Nebula Gray, Nebula White, Obsidian Black, Universe Red, and Deep Sea Blue. Additionally, the storage options for the device are said to include 12GB/512GB, a 16GB/512GB Collector’s Edition, and a 16GB/1TB Collector’s Edition.
Key specifications leaked by tipster Digital Chat Station suggest a 50MP main camera with a large sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is expected to feature wireless charging support and a waterproof design. The Mate X6 will also include the new Kirin 5G chip, HarmonyOS Next, improved image processing, AI capabilities, and a super-flat display screen.
