Huawei's highly anticipated Watch GT 5 has been revealed via a listing on a UK retailer’s website ahead of its official launch, expected on September 19. The smartwatch will be available in a 46mm variant with two strap options: a Black Fluoroelastomer strap and a Silver Blue Woven Nylon strap.
The Huawei Watch GT 5 features a 1.43-inch AMOLED touchscreen display and runs on Harmony OS. It is compatible with iOS 8.0 or later and Android 13 or later, supporting Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS connectivity. One of its standout features is a long-lasting battery that provides up to 14 days of usage, with a full charge taking approximately 100 minutes. The device is also 5ATM water-resistant and comes equipped with a voice assistant.
For fitness and health enthusiasts, the smartwatch is powered by Huawei's TruSense technology, offering a wide array of tracking options. These include walking, running, swimming, cycling, mountain hiking, skiing, boxing, jump rope, football, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen measurement, and stress management. Other advanced features include an AI weight management program, menstrual cycle tracking, SpO2 cycle monitoring, and a reminder for abnormal blood oxygen levels.
In terms of smart features, the Huawei Watch GT 5 provides music control, alarm clock functionality, remote shutter, find-my-phone options, Bluetooth calling, app notifications, a calendar, and SMS quick reply support. The watch also comes with additional features like bad weather warnings, a running position sensor, sleep breathing awareness, a wrist map, and Huawei's Sunflower positioning system.
The Huawei Watch GT 5 with a Black Fluoroelastomer strap is priced at £229.99, while the Silver Blue Woven Nylon strap variant will retail for £249.99. Weighing around 77g for the Fluoroelastomer model and 74g for the Nylon strap version, the watch measures 45.8 x 45.8 x 10.7mm.
