Huawei is gearing up for a product launch event on September 19th in Barcelona, where it will introduce new smartwatches in the Huawei Watch GT series, including the Watch GT 5 and Watch GT 5 Pro. Recent NCC certification has unveiled images of the 46mm models, revealing their design and features.
The smartwatches feature a circular dial with a functional crown and an action button, housed in a metallic frame. The rear side includes a health suite sensor, and the devices support swappable straps—silicone options in blue and black for both models, and a metal strap exclusively for the GT 5 Pro. Notably, the GT 5 Pro's metal strap has a magnetic end.
Both smartwatches are 5ATM water-resistant, protecting against splashes and dust. They will include a magnetic wireless charger that supports 18W fast charging, with an input range of 5V-9V at 2A. The charger, identified as model number “CCAK23LP1350T2,” is also used with the Huawei GT 4.
In terms of features, the smartwatches are expected to include TrueSense technology, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and an advanced health monitoring system for accurate health data measurement.
