Leaks suggest that Apple will introduce four models in the lineup: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a new iPhone 17 Air or Slim, marking the end of the “Plus” variant.

The iPhone 17 series, expected to launch in 2025, promises significant innovations and major design upgrades. Leaks suggest that Apple will introduce four models in the lineup: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a new iPhone 17 Air or Slim, marking the end of the “Plus” variant. Apple is said to be making one of its boldest design overhauls since the iPhone X, focusing on thinner builds, better performance, and improved durability.

Design Upgrades
The new iPhone 17 Air is expected to be Apple’s slimmest iPhone yet, with a thickness of just 5mm to 6mm. It will feature a titanium-aluminium frame, a centered rear camera bump, and an overall lightweight design. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 may get a slightly larger 6.3-inch display. The Pro and Pro Max models are rumored to come with half-glass, half-aluminium rear panels for added durability.

Apple is also axing the “Plus” model due to poor sales, replacing it with the standard iPhone 17. The entire lineup is expected to appeal to users seeking sleek designs and robust builds.

Display and Performance
All models will now include 120Hz ProMotion displays, a feature previously reserved for Pro models. This means smoother scrolling, an enhanced gaming experience, and Always-On Display functionality for the entire lineup. Apple is also rumored to add scratch-resistant, anti-reflective coatings to the displays, improving usability in various lighting conditions.

At the core of the iPhone 17 series will be Apple’s A19 chipset, built on TSMC’s advanced N3P technology. The chip promises to deliver faster performance and greater power efficiency. Pro models are expected to feature 12GB of RAM, while the standard and Air models may come with 8GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking across all devices.

The iPhone 17 series is shaping up to be one of Apple’s most exciting releases, blending cutting-edge technology with a refined design. As anticipation grows, more details on pricing and availability are expected to emerge closer to the launch.
