Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4, expected to launch in March 2025, will bring major upgrades over its predecessor, the iPhone SE 3. The new device will likely feature a 48MP rear camera and a 12MP front-facing TrueDepth camera, marking a substantial leap from the SE 3’s 12MP rear lens. Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 will replace the LCD display with a 6.06-inch OLED panel, offering better color accuracy and contrast.
Design-wise, the SE 4 is rumored to move away from the classic Touch ID, instead adopting Face ID and an edge-to-edge display, bringing it closer to Apple’s flagship models. The device will also likely feature a USB-C port, aligning with Apple's shift to this standard across its products, and may introduce an action button, replacing the traditional mute switch.
In terms of camera upgrades, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to share its camera setup with the iPhone 16, including a 48MP Fusion rear lens and a 12MP front camera. While it may lack an ultrawide lens, the SE 4’s camera capabilities will focus on delivering impressive image quality without driving up the price.
Under the hood, the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by a newer chip than the A15 Bionic, paired with 8GB of RAM. This will allow the device to handle AI-powered tasks, such as image processing and voice recognition, more efficiently.
