iQOO, a subsidiary of Vivo, is set to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO 13, by the end of October 2024 in China. As the launch date nears, the company has teased several of the device's gaming performance specs, highlighting the inclusion of its self-developed Q2 chip, in addition to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
iQOO 13 – Gaming and Performance Enhancements
The iQOO 13 will not only feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor but also the new Q2 chip designed to enhance gaming and display performance. This chip will support 2K resolution at 144FPS with super-frame concurrency and PC-level texture resolution. These features will provide exceptional image quality, frame rates, and energy efficiency. The Q2 chip boasts improved computing power and integrates advanced algorithms, overcoming many performance limitations seen in previous models.
When it comes to gaming, iQOO has tested over 140 games for super-frame rates and over 100 games for super-resolution, showcasing the chip’s superior capabilities compared to competitors' GPU interpolation and independent gaming/display chips.
Launch and Global Availability
The iQOO 13 will debut in China on October 30, 2024, with pre-orders already live. Its Indian release has been teased, while global launches are expected in regions like Europe and Indonesia following certification approvals. The device will be available in four distinct color options: White (with Blue halo light), Black (with Red halo light), Green (with Green halo light), and Gray/Silver (with Yellow halo light).
