OnePlus is set to introduce its new smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 5, in China this December, with plans to rebrand it as the OnePlus 13R for other markets, including India. According to reports, the OnePlus 13R will be launched in India by January 2025, alongside the OnePlus 13.
The OnePlus Ace 5 (or OnePlus 13R) will feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, providing flagship-level performance. The phone is expected to include a 6500mAh battery with support for 100W fast wired charging.
For photography, the OnePlus 13R will likely feature a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. While the more premium OnePlus 13 comes with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, the OnePlus 13R is expected to retain the optical fingerprint scanner from its predecessor.
In comparison, the OnePlus 13 boasts a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a 3168x1440 resolution, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision HDR support. The OnePlus 13’s camera setup features a triple 50MP array, co-engineered with Hasselblad.
