OnePlus has unveiled its new chip-level gaming technology, the Fengchi Game Core, during a recent gaming conference. This innovative technology is designed to enhance the gaming experience on the upcoming Ace 5 series smartphones, including the Ace 5 Pro. The Fengchi Game Core introduces several key features to improve battery efficiency, optimize game performance, and provide a smoother experience with accurate frame-by-frame control.
The Fengchi Game Core allows for higher CPU performance, breaking limitations set by the Android kernel, ensuring longer gaming sessions without lag or overheating. It also features a revamped GPU rendering pipeline that delivers native 120 FPS gameplay, making it a first in the industry. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will offer superior gaming visuals with 120 FPS at 1080p resolution, ensuring excellent picture quality with minimal delay.
As for the Ace 5 Pro’s performance, the device has shown remarkable results in gaming tests. During King of Glory, a 10V10 medium to high-load game, it averaged 120.6 FPS with 3.71 W of power consumption, outperforming most Snapdragon 8 Elite devices. Other high-load games like Star Iron: Golden Moment and Genshin Impact also showed impressive FPS rates, with power consumption optimized for long gaming sessions. In super-resolution and super-frame tests, the Ace 5 Pro maintained a stable 120.7 FPS with only 4.89 W power consumption, offering a smooth, low-latency gaming experience.
OnePlus’s Fengchi Game Core technology is primarily designed to improve the efficiency of game performance by lowering power consumption frame by frame, ensuring sustained gaming sessions without sacrificing frame rate. This technology is expected to revolutionize mobile gaming, offering an experience comparable to high-end gaming PCs.
The Ace 5 series, which includes both the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, will feature this cutting-edge gaming technology and is set to launch soon. Pre-reservations for the Ace 5 series have already begun in China, with several exciting benefits for early buyers. Fans can expect further teaser updates and confirmation of the official launch date in the coming days. The Fengchi Game Core is expected to redefine mobile gaming and set a new benchmark in the smartphone industry.
