OPPO is gearing up to launch its new A5 Pro smartphone in China on 24th December 2024. Ahead of the official release, the brand has teased the device’s design, display features, and color options through a series of teaser posters. Known for its durability, the OPPO A5 Pro comes with a “Durable God of War” tagline, highlighting its waterproof, fall-resistant, and overall robust construction.
The smartphone sports a quad-curved soft-edged straight screen that ensures a comfortable in-hand experience without any irritation. The OPPO A5 Pro will be available in three color variants: Quartz White, Rock Black, and Sandstone Purple, offering a range of stylish options for consumers.
The rear panel is flat and features a centrally-aligned, slightly projected circular camera module. This module houses a dual-camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, along with an LED flash. The camera is surrounded by three additional inner circular units outlined in silver. The design also includes a centrally-positioned punch-hole selfie camera, and the volume rocker and power button are located on the right side panel.
In terms of specifications, the OPPO A5 Pro is expected to be powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core processor, likely MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset. The phone will come with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB internal storage, providing ample space for apps, media, and more. Its 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display will offer a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels, with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The phone is expected to feature a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera and a 16MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies.
With a 5840mAh rated battery (~6000mAh typical), the A5 Pro will provide long-lasting battery life and fast charging support. It will also support 5G connectivity, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and have a slim profile of just 7.67mm thick and weighing 186g.
The official launch of the OPPO A5 Pro will take place on 24th December 2024 at 2:30 PM local time in China. Expect more teaser updates and details to emerge as the launch event approaches.
