Oppo has officially launched its Reno 13 series in Malaysia, consisting of three models: the Reno 13, Reno 13 Pro, and Reno 13F 5G. The series, which is expected to roll out to other markets, including India, on January 9, 2025, brings significant upgrades and features.
The Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro come equipped with the same specifications as their Chinese variants. Both models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, while the Reno 13F 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. All three models sport a premium design with aerospace-grade aluminum frames and one-piece sculpted glass backs. Additionally, the phones feature IP69 water and dust resistance, ensuring durability.
The Reno 13 series incorporates multiple AI-powered features like AI Reimage, AI Motion, AI Reflection Remover, AI Unblur, AI Clarity Enhancer, and AI Livephoto. These features enhance media-sharing, making it easy to share content with iPhone users as well.
Connectivity is another highlight, as all models include AI Linkboost, which optimizes connection performance. This technology claims to provide 50% better communication performance and reduce gaming latency. The Reno 13 series also integrates a custom SignalBoost Chip X1, which enhances transmission power and improves Wi-Fi coverage by 25%, ensuring a reliable connection even in large spaces.
The phones feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, with different screen sizes for each model: the Reno 13 Pro has a 6.83-inch display, the Reno 13 has a 6.59-inch screen, and the Reno 13F 5G offers a 6.67-inch display. All models also come with AI-powered camera systems, including a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom (Reno 13 Pro), and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The Reno 13F 5G sports a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, the Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro feature a 50MP front camera, while the Reno 13F 5G has a 32MP selfie camera.
Battery life is another area where Oppo excels, with the Reno 13 Pro offering a 5,600mAh battery and the Reno 13 and Reno 13F 5G featuring 5,800mAh batteries. The Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro support 80W SUPERVOOC 2.0 fast charging, while the Reno 13F 5G supports 45W SUPERVOOC 2.0. All models also support fast charging via VOOC 3.0, PD 2.0, and other standards.
Pricing for the Reno 13 series in Malaysia has not yet been disclosed, but the phones are available for pre-reservation with benefits such as INR 5,000 worth of offers, one-click redemption, best exchange value, special edition colors, and no-cost EMI options.
