POCO India’s Country Head, Himanshu Tandon, has announced that the highly anticipated POCO X7 5G series will be launched on January 9th in India, with a simultaneous global release. Initially, there was some confusion regarding the series, with rumors suggesting the inclusion of three models: POCO X7, POCO X7 Pro, and POCO X7 Neo. However, it was officially confirmed that the POCO X7 Neo does not exist, and only the POCO X7 and POCO X7 Pro will be launched.
The POCO X7 series will be made available exclusively through Flipkart in India. The microsites for both POCO X7 5G and POCO X7 Pro 5G have now gone live on the e-commerce platform, teasing the design and key features of both devices.
POCO X7 5G:
The design of POCO X7 5G has been partially revealed, showing a camera module and rear panel. It is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. The teased design suggests that the POCO X7 will feature a camera module similar to that of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. The rear panel has a leather finish, and the device will be available in a striking black and yellow color combination. The POCO X7 5G will have curved edges, and the volume button is located on the right side. The camera module will include three sensors, along with an LED flash. A standout feature of the POCO X7 5G is the 50MP OIS AI rear camera.
POCO X7 Pro 5G:
The POCO X7 Pro 5G is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4. The device features a pill-shaped camera module, which is positioned vertically and houses two camera sensors. Next to the camera module, there is an LED flash. Similar to the POCO X7 5G, the POCO X7 Pro will feature a leather back with a yellow and black color combination and flat edges. The POCO X7 Pro 5G is also confirmed to have a 50MP OIS rear camera.
Both devices will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart, with the official launch slated for January 9, 2025. Keep an eye out for more updates as the launch date approaches!
