Realme is preparing to launch its highly anticipated GT 8 Pro smartphone in India, expected next month. Positioned as a premium mid-range flagship, the device promises a combination of performance, design, and advanced camera capabilities, aimed at competing with rivals like Xiaomi, Samsung, and OnePlus in the segment.
The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals for gaming and content streaming. The display is likely to support HDR10+ for improved contrast and color accuracy, making it one of the standout features of the device.
Under the hood, the smartphone is anticipated to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8-series processor, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, delivering fast performance and seamless multitasking. The combination of the processor and high-speed LPDDR5 memory ensures that the GT 8 Pro can handle demanding apps and mobile gaming with ease.
Camera capabilities are expected to be a major highlight. The GT 8 Pro will reportedly feature a quad-camera setup on the rear, including a 108MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, a macro lens, and a depth sensor. Advanced AI features and night photography modes are expected to enhance picture quality. For selfies and video calls, the front camera may be a 32MP sensor with portrait and beauty modes.
Design-wise, Realme is likely to introduce multiple color options with matte and glossy finishes. The device may include Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both the front and back, providing durability while maintaining a premium feel. Ergonomic design and lightweight build are expected to ensure comfortable handling.
Battery life is another area of focus. Reports suggest the GT 8 Pro will house a 5,000mAh battery with super-fast 125W wired charging, capable of reaching 50% charge in under 10 minutes. Wireless charging support may also be included, along with enhanced battery optimization features to extend overall longevity.
Connectivity features will include 5G support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C, ensuring modern connectivity options. Realme UI 6 based on Android 14 is expected to run on the device, providing a smooth, feature-rich interface with customization options and AI enhancements.
Pricing in India is rumored to start around Rs 55,000 for the base variant, though official confirmation is awaited. The launch is likely to include online and offline availability through Realme’s official store, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets.
The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to appeal to tech enthusiasts seeking high-end features without flagship pricing. With advanced cameras, superior performance, and fast charging capabilities, the device could strengthen Realme’s presence in the competitive premium segment.
