Xiaomi has confirmed that the highly anticipated Redmi K80 series will officially launch in China on November 27, 2024, at 7 PM local time. The series will consist of two models: the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro, both featuring Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chips. The company recently hosted a display technology conference where it revealed that the series would sport a TCL M9 LTPS OLED panel with a range of enhanced specifications.
A newly released poster for the launch event gives us a closer look at the design, including a circular rear camera setup with three sensors, a horizontal LED light strip, and a dual-tone rear panel. The poster also reveals that Chinese table tennis champion Fan Zhendong will serve as the face of the Redmi K80 series. The tagline, “Grand slam double flagships are popular,” hints at the introduction of two flagship models.
In terms of specifications, both the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro are expected to feature flat 1.5K/2K OLED displays, a 50MP triple camera system, an under-display optical/ultrasonic fingerprint reader, large batteries, and 120W wired fast charging support.
As the official launch approaches, Xiaomi is likely to tease more details about the devices. Stay tuned for updates on pricing, availability, and additional features as the November 27 launch date nears.
