Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A16 is generating buzz ahead of its official release in global and Indian markets. Recent sightings on the Geekbench database have unveiled two versions of the smartphone: one equipped with the Exynos 1330 SoC and another featuring the Dimensity 6300 SoC. Additionally, a 4G variant is also in development, though specific details about this version remain sparse.
Further insights have emerged from the TUV certification database, where the Galaxy A16 has been listed under multiple model numbers: SM-A166B/DS, SM-A1660, SM-A166E/DS, SM-A166M/DS, and SM-A166M. These model numbers suggest different regional variants of the phone. Notably, the models ending in "DS" (SM-A166B/DS, SM-A166E/DS, and SM-A166M/DS) will offer dual SIM functionality, indicating that Samsung is customizing the device for diverse markets, with some versions supporting dual SIM use.
The TUV certification has also confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy A16 will support 25W fast charging, specifically 9V at 2.77A. While this reveals the charging capabilities of the device, details regarding the battery capacity and other specifications have not yet been disclosed.
This certification gives a glimpse into the phone's charging performance and hints at its broad market availability, making it an anticipated release in the near future.
