Samsung is reportedly gearing up to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series, at its first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026. The lineup is expected to include three models: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and the premium Galaxy S26 Ultra. As per multiple industry leaks, the launch event is likely to be held on February 25, continuing Samsung’s tradition of introducing its Galaxy S series early in the year.
The Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to be a global livestream, with region-specific timings. Reports suggest the event may begin at 7 pm in France, 6 pm in the United Kingdom, 1 pm in the United States (Eastern Time), and around 11:30 pm in India. Chinese viewers are expected to be able to watch the event late at night, depending on local time zones. Samsung usually streams the launch on its official website, YouTube channel, and social media platforms.
In terms of design and hardware, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to build upon the refinements introduced with the Galaxy S25 lineup. Leaks indicate that Samsung may focus on slimmer bezels, improved durability, and enhanced display technology. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to retain its large AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, along with further improvements to brightness and power efficiency.
Camera upgrades are expected to be a major highlight. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumoured to feature an improved primary sensor, enhanced periscope zoom capabilities, and advanced image processing powered by artificial intelligence. Samsung is also expected to refine night photography, video stabilisation, and portrait modes across all three models.
Performance-wise, the Galaxy S26 series is likely to be powered by the next generation of flagship chipsets, depending on the market. Some regions may receive Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon processor, while others could see an updated Exynos chipset. These processors are expected to deliver improved efficiency, faster AI processing, and better gaming performance.
Samsung is also expected to expand its Galaxy AI features with the S26 series. New AI-driven tools for photography, productivity, translation, and on-device personalisation are likely to be introduced. The phones are expected to ship with the latest version of Android and Samsung’s One UI software, offering extended software and security update support.
As for pricing, leaks suggest that Samsung may maintain a similar pricing strategy to the Galaxy S25 series, with slight adjustments depending on storage variants and regional taxes. In India, the base Galaxy S26 could start in the premium flagship segment, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to remain the most expensive model in the lineup.
Samsung has not officially confirmed the launch date, pricing, or specifications. However, with the expected launch window approaching, more details are likely to surface in the coming weeks.
