TECNO has officially launched the POP 9 in India, an affordable 4G smartphone that brings impressive features to the budget segment. This device comes with a 6.67-inch HD+ display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals, along with Dynamic Port notification capabilities.
Under the hood, the TECNO POP 9 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G50 processor, marking it as India’s first smartphone with this chipset. It offers 3GB of physical RAM, which is complemented by 3GB of virtual RAM through memory fusion technology, ensuring lag-free performance for up to three years. The device also boasts stereo speakers with DTS audio, providing an enhanced audio experience.
The phone is built with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, along with a 5000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging (although it ships with a 10W charger). The rear camera setup includes a 13MP main sensor, while the front camera offers 8MP resolution, both featuring dual LED flash for better low-light photography.
Running on Android 14 Go Edition with HiOS 14, the POP 9 ensures two years of security updates. It comes with 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, and connectivity options like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, and Bluetooth 5.0.
The TECNO POP 9 will be available in three colors—Glittery White, Lime Green, and Startrail Black—and is priced at Rs. 6,699. However, with a Rs. 200 bank offer, the effective price drops to Rs. 6,499. Sales will begin on Amazon.in from November 26th.
