OPPO is gearing up for the launch of its latest Find X8 series, and just days before the debut, the brand has shared additional insights into the battery and performance specifications of the upcoming smartphones. The teaser posters reveal that the Find X8 Pro will house a robust 5910 mAh glacier battery, boasting an 18% increase in battery backup while reducing thickness by 13%.
This new generation battery is designed for extensive usage, capable of recording up to 7.2 hours of Dolby Vision HDR video—significantly outlasting Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max, which reportedly lasts only 5 hours under similar conditions. Even in extreme cold temperatures of -20°C, the Find X8 Pro can record HDR videos for 5.3 hours, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max can shut down after just 10 minutes.
In terms of entertainment, users can watch approximately 36 episodes of popular TV shows on a single charge, with the Find X8 Pro lasting around 29.3 hours, compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max's 27.7 hours.
On the performance front, the Find X8 Pro will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, complemented by OPPO's proprietary Tidal Engine. This combination promises peak performance and improved battery efficiency for a seamless user experience.
OPPO has scheduled a product launch conference for October 24, 2024, in China, which will also mark the global debut of the Find X8 series. There are indications that the Indian launch could follow shortly after, as both the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro have appeared in various global certification databases. Alongside the smartphones, OPPO is expected to unveil new charging accessories.
