Vivo, the Chinese electronics manufacturer, has joined other smartphone brands in teasing its next Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered device, which many speculate could be the X200 Ultra. This teaser follows the recent launch of the X200 series, which includes the X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro mini. While the teaser image doesn't reveal much, previous patterns suggest the flagship X200 Ultra is the likely candidate, similar to the X100 series timeline.
In November 2023, Vivo unveiled the X100 and X100 Pro with MediaTek’s 9300 chip, followed by the X100 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in May 2024. Based on this pattern, it’s believed the X200 Ultra will carry Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, but its launch may not occur until the first half of 2025.
Reports suggest the X200 Ultra may feature a powerful camera setup, including a 50MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP telephoto, and a 200MP telephoto camera. Satellite connectivity is also rumored, positioning the X200 Ultra to compete with other flagship models, such as Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra and Xiaomi's 15 Ultra.
For now, details remain limited, but further clarity on the X200 Ultra's release is expected soon.
