Xiaomi has officially expanded its smartphone lineup with the global launch of the MIX Flip, marking the company’s entry into the flip smartphone market. Initially unveiled alongside the MIX Fold 4 in China, the MIX Flip has generated significant anticipation as Xiaomi prepared for its international debut, supported by recent certifications. The launch coincides with the introduction of the Xiaomi 14T series.
The Xiaomi MIX Flip features a stunning 6.86-inch LTPO AMOLED internal display with a 1.5K CrystalRes resolution, offering a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM Dimming, and DC Dimming capabilities. With peak brightness levels reaching up to 3,000 nits, the display also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for enhanced visual experiences. Additionally, it is equipped with a 4-inch wide cover display that also features a 1.5K CrystalRes resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the MIX Flip is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with an Adreno 750 GPU, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. To ensure optimal performance, the device incorporates a redesigned 3D cooling system featuring a 3500mm² vapor chamber with a staircase design, effectively managing heat during intensive tasks.
In terms of photography, the MIX Flip is equipped with a powerful 50MP main camera featuring the Light Fusion 800 sensor and OIS support, along with a secondary 50MP OmniVision OV60A40 telephoto camera on the rear. For selfies, a 32MP front camera provides high-quality images. The smartphone is backed by a 4,780mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, ensuring users stay powered throughout the day. Running on Android 14 out of the box, the device also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, and dual speakers for an immersive audio experience.
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi MIX Flip is its robust dual-link hinge, constructed from high-strength, wear-resistant materials, allowing for up to 500,000 folds and certified by SGS for durability.
Pricing for the Xiaomi MIX Flip is set at €1,299 (approximately ₹121,055) for the single configuration of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The device will be available in Black and Purple color options and is currently on sale in Europe, appealing to users looking for a blend of advanced technology and innovative design in a flip smartphone.
