Bajaj Auto has expanded its Pulsar lineup with the launch of the new Pulsar N160 S and Pulsar N160 SS in the Indian market. The motorcycles are priced at Rs 1,33,511 and Rs 1,42,585 respectively, ex showroom Delhi. With the latest update, Bajaj aims to strengthen its presence in the premium 160 cc motorcycle segment by offering improved performance, enhanced technology and better riding dynamics.

The biggest upgrade on both motorcycles is the introduction of a new 164.5 cc four valve engine. Compared with the earlier two valve version, the updated engine is designed to deliver improved breathing efficiency, smoother power delivery and better overall performance. The four valve configuration is expected to provide stronger acceleration, improved refinement and enhanced riding experience across city roads as well as highways.

Bajaj has also upgraded the motorcycles with a more advanced electronics package. While maintaining the sporty character of the Pulsar range, the company has focused on improving rider convenience and safety through modern technology. The new electronic features are intended to make everyday riding more comfortable while enhancing control under different road conditions.

Another major highlight is the addition of a fully digital TFT instrument display. The new screen offers a more modern interface and provides important riding information in a clear and easy to read format. Depending on the variant, the display is expected to support smartphone connectivity, navigation assistance, call notifications, message alerts and other connected features that are becoming increasingly popular among premium motorcycles.

The suspension setup has also received significant improvements. Both the Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS feature larger front forks compared with the previous version. The upgraded suspension is expected to improve ride stability, steering precision and overall comfort, particularly while riding over uneven roads or during high speed touring.

Braking performance has also been enhanced with larger front brake components. Bigger brakes generally provide stronger stopping power, improved heat management and greater rider confidence during emergency braking situations. Combined with the upgraded suspension, the braking improvements contribute to better overall handling and control.

The motorcycles continue to feature the muscular and aggressive styling that has become a defining characteristic of the Pulsar series. Sharp body panels, sculpted fuel tank extensions, LED lighting and sporty graphics help maintain the modern streetfighter appearance while distinguishing the new variants from earlier models.

Bajaj has positioned the N160 S and N160 SS to appeal to a wide range of riders, including daily commuters, college students and enthusiasts seeking a balance between performance, practicality and technology. The motorcycles are expected to compete with several popular offerings in the premium 160 cc segment.

The updated engine and chassis package are designed to offer a refined riding experience without compromising fuel efficiency. Buyers in this category often look for motorcycles that deliver responsive performance while remaining economical for regular commuting, and the latest Pulsar models aim to meet both requirements.

The inclusion of premium features reflects the growing demand among Indian customers for motorcycles equipped with advanced technology. Digital displays, connected features and improved electronics have become important buying considerations alongside engine performance and styling.

Industry experts believe the launch further strengthens Bajaj's position in one of India's most competitive motorcycle segments. The Pulsar brand has built a strong reputation over the years for offering sporty motorcycles with dependable performance, and the latest updates continue that tradition by incorporating modern engineering and contemporary features.

With the introduction of the new four valve engine, upgraded suspension, enhanced braking system and TFT instrument console, the Pulsar N160 S and Pulsar N160 SS represent a significant evolution of the existing platform. These improvements are expected to deliver a more refined riding experience while maintaining the sporty appeal that has made the Pulsar name one of the most recognised motorcycle brands in the Indian market.
