Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has expanded its 42 FJ range in India with the introduction of the new All Stars edition. The motorcycle has been launched with a starting price of Rs 2,01,942 ex showroom in New Delhi. The new range is aimed at buyers looking for a more distinctive appearance, with Jawa introducing six new colour schemes and updated cosmetic finishes.

The All Stars edition does not represent a major mechanical upgrade. Instead, Jawa has focused on design, colour choices and the identity of the motorcycle. The company describes the new range as part of its community focused All Stars philosophy, with the 42 FJ becoming the first model to receive the treatment.

Price and Variants

The Jawa All Stars 42 FJ is offered in multiple colour based configurations.

The All Stars Red and All Stars Aurora Green variants are priced at Rs 2,01,942 ex showroom. The All Stars Nebula Blue, Matte Black with Red Clad and Matte Black with Black Clad versions cost Rs 2,07,942.

The range topping All Stars Chrome variant is priced at Rs 2,15,942 ex showroom in New Delhi.

This means there is a price difference of Rs 14,000 between the entry level colours and the top Chrome version.

Six New Colour Options

One of the biggest changes introduced with the All Stars edition is the new colour palette.

Customers can choose from All Stars Red, All Stars Aurora Green, All Stars Nebula Blue, Matte Black with Red Clad, Matte Black with Black Clad and All Stars Chrome.

The new colours give the 42 FJ different visual personalities. The Red version offers a more sporty appearance, while Aurora Green provides a more understated look. The Matte Black versions add contrasting colour elements, while the Chrome version provides a more premium appearance.

Engine Remains Unchanged

Despite the new All Stars branding, Jawa has not made major changes to the motorcycle's powertrain.

The 42 FJ continues to use a 334cc liquid cooled, DOHC single cylinder Alpha2 petrol engine. It produces approximately 28.77 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 29.62 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.

The engine is paired with a six speed gearbox. The existing engine and transmission combination has therefore been carried over to the All Stars edition.

Suspension and Braking

The Jawa 42 FJ All Stars continues with a 41 mm telescopic front fork and gas charged twin rear shock absorbers.

The rear suspension gets five step preload adjustment, allowing riders to adjust the setup according to riding requirements.

Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc. Dual channel ABS is available as standard, providing additional braking assistance in different riding conditions.

Design and Styling

The 42 FJ continues with its neo classic roadster design. One of its distinctive styling elements is the brushed aluminium treatment on the fuel tank.

The motorcycle combines modern mechanical components with a retro inspired design language. The new All Stars colour schemes add more visual differentiation without changing the fundamental design of the motorcycle.

The six colour choices are expected to appeal to customers who want a motorcycle that stands apart from the standard colour options.

Features

The Jawa 42 FJ All Stars comes equipped with LED lighting and a fully digital instrument cluster.

The motorcycle also features a USB charging facility and dual channel ABS. The combination of modern equipment and neo classic styling is intended to give the motorcycle a balance between traditional roadster character and contemporary usability.

The motorcycle retains its existing chassis and suspension package rather than receiving a new mechanical platform.

Wheels, Dimensions and Weight

The motorcycle uses an 18 inch front wheel and a 17 inch rear wheel. It gets a 100/90 front tyre and a 140/70 rear tyre.

The 42 FJ has a seat height of 790 mm and ground clearance of 178 mm. Its fuel tank has a capacity of 12 litres, while the motorcycle weighs around 184 kg.

These dimensions continue from the existing 42 FJ specification and have not been substantially altered for the All Stars edition.

What Is New in the All Stars Edition

The most important point for buyers is that the All Stars edition is primarily a cosmetic and positioning update rather than a mechanical upgrade.

Jawa has introduced new colour schemes and finishes while retaining the existing 334cc engine, six speed transmission, suspension and braking hardware.

Therefore, existing 42 FJ owners should not expect a significant performance difference from the All Stars version. The main attraction is the updated appearance and the additional choice of colour combinations.

Ownership Benefits

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles also offers an Ownership Assurance Programme with its motorcycles. The programme includes a standard four year or 50,000 km warranty, with options for extended warranty coverage.

Additional roadside assistance and annual maintenance options are also available, subject to the applicable programme terms and conditions.

The company has a network of more than 450 sales and service touchpoints across the country.

Competition

The Jawa 42 FJ competes in India's modern retro and roadster motorcycle segment.

Its rivals include motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Honda H'ness CB350. The 42 FJ differentiates itself through its neo classic styling, 334cc engine and distinctive brushed aluminium tank panels.
