Ultraviolette X-47 Venom Launched at Rs 2.65 Lakh With New VX-100 Platform
Ultraviolette Automotive has launched the X-47 Venom electric motorcycle in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 2.65 lakh. The new model introduces the company's VX-100 100V electrical architecture and brings updates to the battery, electric motor, charging system and rider-assistance technology.
Bookings opened on October 22, 2026, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026. The introductory price is applicable to the first 5,000 customers, according to reports on the launch. Buyers should confirm the final variant-wise prices, availability and applicable terms with the company before booking.
The X-47 Venom is positioned as a performance-oriented electric motorcycle with a focus on acceleration, claimed riding range, charging capability and connected safety features.
Price and availability
The X-47 Venom has been introduced at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 2.65 lakh. This price is limited to the first 5,000 customers, according to the company's launch announcement as reported by automotive publications.
The introductory price should not be confused with the final on-road cost. Registration charges, insurance and other applicable costs may increase the amount paid by a buyer. Customers should also confirm which battery variant and features are included in the price they are quoted.
Bookings began on October 22, 2026, while deliveries are expected to start in November. The motorcycle is also scheduled to be showcased in Europe at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy.
New VX-100 platform
The X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle to use Ultraviolette's new VX-100 100V platform. The company says this architecture will form the technical foundation for future products.
The platform combines a redesigned battery system, a new electric motor and an updated motor control unit. These changes are intended to improve power delivery and charging performance while reducing the weight and size of key components.
The motorcycle has a reported kerb weight of 180 kg, making it up to 20 kg lighter than the previous generation, according to published specifications. Lower weight can be beneficial for handling and overall efficiency, although actual riding performance depends on road conditions, rider behaviour and other factors.
Battery, range and performance
The X-47 Venom's reported specifications include an SRB-11 battery pack with 11 kWh of usable capacity. Ultraviolette claims an IDC-certified range of up to 343 km for the relevant configuration. IDC range figures are measured under a prescribed test cycle and may differ from the distance achieved during everyday riding.
The motorcycle uses the company's UV LIGHTFURY electric motor, rated at 30 kW. The manufacturer claims a top speed of 155 kmph and acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds. Published specifications also quote 550 Nm of torque at the wheel.
These figures place the model in the performance-focused electric motorcycle segment. Real-world range and acceleration can vary with speed, traffic, temperature, load, terrain and the use of electronic features.
Charging and battery technology
The X-47 Venom supports DC fast charging at up to 12 kW and is reported to include a 1.6 kW onboard charger. Charging times will depend on the charger used, battery temperature, the battery's state of charge and the charging conditions.
Ultraviolette says its updated battery technology improves energy density and cooling performance. The redesigned cooling arrangement is intended to manage heat more effectively during demanding use.
Battery safety is another area of focus. The motorcycle includes a battery management system, cell-level protection and a pyro-fuse mechanism designed to isolate the electrical circuit rapidly if a critical fault is detected. The battery enclosure is also reported to carry an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water ingress under specified test conditions.
Radar-based rider assistance and connected features
The X-47 Venom includes the company's UV Hypersense system, which uses a 77 GHz rear radar. The system is designed to support blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings. Reports indicate that its claimed monitoring range extends up to 200 metres.
These features are intended to provide additional information about traffic approaching from behind. They should be treated as rider-assistance tools rather than substitutes for checking mirrors, observing traffic and maintaining safe riding practices.
The motorcycle also features a seven-inch TFT touchscreen, integrated front and rear cameras, cruise control, Mappls navigation and rear-camera-based park assistance. Connected functions are reported to include alerts for movement, falls, towing and crashes.
Feature availability may vary by configuration or software version. Buyers should confirm the equipment included with their selected model.
Design and additional equipment
The X-47 Venom is offered in colour options reported as Afterburner Yellow, Turbo Red, Cosmic Black and Stellar White. The model combines a performance-oriented electric powertrain with a digital instrument display and integrated camera technology.
Alongside the motorcycle, Ultraviolette has introduced the B-MAX reusable safety vest. The company claims that the vest can attenuate 86 per cent of impact force and can be reused up to five times. These are manufacturer claims, and customers should review the product's specifications and safety information before purchasing it.
The company has also announced extended warranty coverage of up to 8,00,000 km, according to launch reports. Buyers should check the applicable terms, exclusions and eligibility conditions with an authorised representative.
What buyers should know
The X-47 Venom brings a new electrical platform, a claimed range of up to 343 km, DC fast charging and radar-based assistance to India's electric motorcycle market. Its introductory price of Rs 2.65 lakh applies to the first 5,000 customers, while deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026.
Prospective buyers should verify the final price, available battery configurations, real-world range expectations, charging access, warranty conditions and delivery timelines before placing an order. The company's official website and authorised sales channels are the appropriate places to confirm the latest information.
The X-47 Venom is the first model built on the VX-100 platform, which Ultraviolette intends to use for future products. Its performance and market reception will become clearer as customer deliveries begin and more real-world usage information becomes available.
