Toyota Kirloskar Motor has officially launched the 2025 edition of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, a premium SUV that now comes with upgraded features and a new All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Automatic variant. The update aims to solidify the Hyryder's position in the competitive mid-size SUV segment while enhancing both performance and passenger safety.
The new AWD automatic transmission is a significant addition, making the SUV more versatile and appealing to customers who frequently drive in challenging terrains or desire better control in varying road conditions. Toyota claims the combination of AWD and automatic gear shifting offers a smoother, more responsive drive.
In terms of features, the 2025 Hyryder sees substantial upgrades, especially in its infotainment and safety departments. The updated SUV includes a larger touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice assist, and enhanced connected car technology. Safety has also been enhanced with the addition of six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard across more variants.
Design-wise, subtle cosmetic tweaks have been made, including revised alloy wheels, new interior colour themes, and enhanced cabin materials for a more premium look and feel. Customers can also expect improved NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) levels for a quieter cabin experience.
The Hyryder continues to offer its strong-hybrid powertrain along with the mild-hybrid petrol engine options. Fuel efficiency figures remain impressive, especially for the hybrid variants, making the Hyryder one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs in its class.
With these updates, Toyota aims to appeal to urban buyers looking for a feature-rich, fuel-efficient, and technologically advanced SUV. The new AWD automatic variant also widens its appeal to adventure enthusiasts.
Pricing details have been updated for the new lineup, with the AWD AT variant priced at a slight premium. The new model is now available across Toyota dealerships nationwide.
