Italian luxury car manufacturer Maserati has announced the India prices of its 2027 MCPura and MCPura Cielo sports cars. The new models are positioned in the premium performance car segment, with prices starting at Rs 4.35 crore. The MCPura is offered as a coupe, while the MCPura Cielo is the convertible version featuring a retractable glass roof.
The 2027 Maserati MCPura coupe is priced at Rs 4.35 crore, ex-showroom. The open-top MCPura Cielo is priced at Rs 5.20 crore, ex-showroom, making it Rs 85 lakh more expensive than the standard coupe. Compared with the previous year's prices, the coupe has received a price increase of Rs 23 lakh, while the Cielo has become Rs 8 lakh more expensive.
Engine and Performance
Both the MCPura and MCPura Cielo are powered by Maserati's 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 petrol engine. The engine produces a maximum power output of 630hp and peak torque of 720Nm. It is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
According to Maserati's claimed performance figures, both models can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in approximately 2.9 seconds. Their top speed is rated at more than 320 kilometres per hour. These figures place the two models among the high-performance sports cars available in the Indian luxury automobile market.
The Nettuno V6 engine is one of the key features of the MCPura range. Its twin-turbocharged configuration is designed to deliver strong power and rapid acceleration. The rear-wheel-drive layout and dual-clutch transmission are intended to provide a performance-focused driving experience.
MCPura Cielo Retractable Glass Roof
One of the major differences between the two models is the roof design. The standard MCPura coupe features a fixed roof, while the MCPura Cielo comes with a retractable glass roof. This allows occupants to enjoy an open-air driving experience when weather and road conditions permit.
The Cielo's roof can be opened or closed in approximately 12 seconds. The mechanism can also be operated when the car is travelling at speeds of up to 50 kilometres per hour. This feature gives the convertible a combination of everyday convenience and open-top motoring.
The Cielo retains the same engine and core performance figures as the coupe. Buyers therefore get the same 630hp power output and claimed acceleration performance, along with the additional flexibility of a retractable roof.
Exterior Design and Colour Options
The MCPura carries forward the design direction introduced with the earlier MC20, while receiving several styling updates. The exterior features a more aggressive front-end appearance, additional gloss-black elements and updated MCPura badging. The car also gets fresh alloy wheel designs that distinguish it from the earlier model.
Maserati has expanded the exterior colour choices available for the MCPura range. One of the distinctive options is the AI Aqua Rainbow finish, which changes its appearance under sunlight to create a rainbow-like visual effect. The coupe receives a matte finish with this colour, while the Cielo is offered with a glossy treatment.
These exterior updates are mainly focused on appearance and personalisation rather than major mechanical changes. The 2027 model continues with the existing Nettuno V6 engine and performance package.
Interior Features
The cabin also receives design and personalisation updates. The MCPura features an updated steering wheel, refreshed interior colour combinations and additional upholstery choices. The Alcantara seats come with a laser-etched three-dimensional pattern, giving the cabin a more distinctive appearance.
Maserati has focused on offering customers more options to personalise the interior and exterior of the car. These changes are intended to enhance the overall appearance of the vehicle while retaining its established sports car character.
Price Difference Between the Two Models
The price difference between the MCPura coupe and MCPura Cielo is Rs 85 lakh. The coupe is aimed at customers who prefer a fixed-roof performance sports car, while the Cielo offers a convertible design with a retractable glass roof.
| Model | Ex-showroom price |
| Maserati MCPura Coupe | Rs 4.35 crore |
| Maserati MCPura Cielo | Rs 5.20 crore |
The prices are ex-showroom and do not represent the final on-road cost. Registration charges, insurance and other applicable expenses may increase the amount buyers need to pay.
Position in the Indian Luxury Car Market
With the introduction of the 2027 MCPura range, Maserati is continuing its presence in India's ultra-luxury sports car segment. The models are aimed at buyers looking for high engine performance, distinctive Italian styling and exclusive personalisation options.
The MCPura competes in a segment that includes high-performance offerings from international luxury carmakers. Its combination of a twin-turbo V6 engine, rear-wheel drive and carbon-fibre-based construction makes it a specialised offering for sports car enthusiasts.
The launch also highlights Maserati's continued focus on the Indian market. With the MCPura coupe starting at Rs 4.35 crore and the Cielo priced at Rs 5.20 crore, the company is offering two body styles with the same core powertrain and performance specifications.
Overall, the 2027 Maserati MCPura and MCPura Cielo bring updated styling, refreshed cabin options and the established 630hp Nettuno V6 engine to India. While the coupe offers a traditional fixed-roof sports car design, the Cielo adds the convenience of a retractable glass roof for open-air driving.
