As Alfa Romeo transitions into the electric vehicle era, the brand aims to retain its sporty identity while meeting global environmental standards.

Alfa Romeo, one of the most iconic names in automotive history, has celebrated its 115th anniversary with a large-scale event at its historic home in Arese, Italy. Founded in 1910, Alfa Romeo has grown into a global symbol of Italian engineering, motorsport success, and elegant design. The anniversary event served as a tribute to the brand’s legacy while also offering a glimpse into its future.

Held at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, the celebration attracted a wide range of attendees including automobile enthusiasts, collectors, company executives, current and former employees, and international media. The museum, which houses some of the brand’s most legendary vehicles, served as the perfect setting for the milestone event.

The celebration included several activities and exhibits. Guests were able to view a special display of historic Alfa Romeo cars, tracing the evolution of the brand from its early 20th-century beginnings to its current lineup. Key models on display included vintage race cars, iconic road cars like the Giulietta and Giulia, and concept vehicles that once defined automotive innovation.

In addition to the vehicle showcase, the event featured guided factory tours and technical discussions, providing visitors with insight into the craftsmanship and engineering behind Alfa Romeo’s success. One of the major highlights was the unveiling of commemorative editions of current models, reflecting both heritage styling cues and modern technology. These special editions are expected to be produced in limited numbers to mark the anniversary.

Senior executives from Stellantis, Alfa Romeo’s parent company, addressed the gathering and spoke about the brand’s strategic direction. They reaffirmed the company's commitment to combining performance and style with sustainable technologies. As Alfa Romeo transitions into the electric vehicle era, the brand aims to retain its sporty identity while meeting global environmental standards.

Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of Alfa Romeo, remarked during the event, “This 115-year journey is not only about our past, but also about how we are shaping the future. Alfa Romeo is evolving with innovation while keeping its passion for driving intact.”

The event also served as a platform to engage with fans and clubs from around the world. International Alfa Romeo clubs participated in a parade featuring classic models, highlighting the deep emotional connection the brand shares with its global community.

Looking forward, Alfa Romeo has confirmed plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup, with new models expected in the coming years. These future vehicles will be designed with an emphasis on performance, premium features, and the brand’s distinct design language.

The 115th anniversary celebration at Arese was more than a commemorative event — it was a declaration of intent from Alfa Romeo to continue being a major force in the automotive world while honouring the traditions that have defined it for over a century.

In addition to the vehicle showcase, the event featured guided factory tours and technical discussions, providing visitors with insight into the craftsmanship and engineering behind Alfa Romeo’s success.
