Honda Cars India has released a teaser for a new Special Edition of its popular compact SUV, the Honda Elevate, hinting at fresh styling updates and an exclusive colour option. The teaser showcases red exterior accents and a new brown colourway, suggesting that the upcoming variant will add a more premium and sporty appeal to the model lineup.
The teaser image highlights sleek red accents on the front grille, bumper, and side mirrors, while the newly introduced brown exterior shade adds a touch of sophistication. Industry insiders believe that the Special Edition will also include minor design enhancements, such as new alloy wheel finishes and subtle badging to distinguish it from the standard variants.
While Honda has not yet revealed interior images, reports indicate that the cabin could feature dual-tone upholstery, red contrast stitching, and special edition branding on the seats and dashboard. The overall design philosophy is expected to maintain the balance between elegance and sportiness that has made the Elevate a popular choice in the compact SUV segment.
Mechanically, the Special Edition will continue to use the proven 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, delivering 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. No performance upgrades are expected, as the focus appears to be on cosmetic and feature-based improvements rather than mechanical changes.
Honda is likely to price the new variant slightly higher than the existing trims, positioning it as a limited-edition offering to boost sales momentum during the festive season. The Elevate, launched in 2023, has played a pivotal role in strengthening Honda’s SUV portfolio in India, appealing to urban buyers seeking reliability, space, and a refined driving experience.
With this Special Edition, Honda aims to maintain customer interest amid rising competition from established rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and Skoda Kushaq.
Market experts believe this move reflects Honda’s strategy to keep its model lineup fresh through aesthetic updates and feature enhancements while working on next-generation products. Limited-edition variants often help automakers sustain attention in a competitive segment without major overhauls.
In addition, the teaser comes amid growing speculation that Honda may soon introduce a hybrid powertrain or an all-electric version of the Elevate, aligning with its global electrification roadmap. However, no official confirmation has been provided by the company regarding future plans.
The Elevate has been one of Honda’s most successful recent launches in India, praised for its ride quality, practicality, and strong after-sales support. The introduction of the Special Edition could help further strengthen its appeal to style-conscious buyers looking for exclusivity and value.
