Kia claims the SUV delivers competitive mileage figures while maintaining refined performance, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and longer journeys.

Kia Motors India has officially launched the MY26 version of its popular Sonet compact SUV, bringing new updates and introducing a diesel automatic variant priced under ₹10 lakh. The refreshed model is aimed at enhancing Kia’s presence in India’s competitive compact SUV segment, which continues to see high demand among urban and semi-urban buyers.

The MY26 Sonet comes with subtle exterior updates, including revised front and rear bumper designs, updated LED headlamps, and new alloy wheel designs that add to the SUV’s sporty appeal. The overall styling has been refined to make the vehicle look modern while retaining the design elements that have made the Sonet popular among buyers.

Inside, the MY26 Sonet features an upgraded cabin with improved comfort and convenience. Kia has added new upholstery options, a redesigned infotainment system with enhanced connectivity, and updated driver-assist features. Passengers can expect better ergonomics, more storage spaces, and an overall improved experience for city commuting as well as long-distance drives.

The diesel automatic variant, priced under ₹10 lakh, is a key highlight of the MY26 update. This powertrain option is powered by Kia’s proven diesel engine paired with a smooth automatic transmission, offering a balance of performance and fuel efficiency. The diesel automatic combination is particularly suited for city traffic conditions and highway cruising, providing a hassle-free driving experience for urban users who prefer automatic gearboxes.

Fuel efficiency and low running costs remain a major selling point for the diesel automatic variant. Kia claims the SUV delivers competitive mileage figures while maintaining refined performance, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and longer journeys.

Kia continues to offer multiple trims of the Sonet MY26 to cater to different buyer preferences, ranging from value-oriented options to premium variants with additional features such as sunroof, premium audio systems, wireless charging, and advanced safety technologies. Safety remains a priority, with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and structural enhancements included across various trims.

The launch of the diesel automatic Sonet is part of Kia’s strategy to strengthen its compact SUV portfolio in India. By offering a sub-₹10 lakh automatic diesel option, Kia aims to attract first-time SUV buyers as well as existing compact SUV owners looking to upgrade. The MY26 Sonet competes with rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza in terms of pricing, features, and drivability.

Dealers across India have already started accepting bookings for the MY26 Sonet, and deliveries are expected to begin soon. Kia is also providing attractive financing schemes and extended warranty options to enhance customer confidence and ownership experience.

With the MY26 Sonet, Kia reinforces its commitment to offering stylish, feature-packed, and affordable vehicles in the compact SUV segment while expanding its footprint in the Indian automotive market.
