British supercar manufacturer McLaren has officially unveiled a special edition of its latest performance model, the 750S Le Mans, paying tribute to the brand’s landmark victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. This announcement marks 29 years since the McLaren F1 GTR secured first place in its debut at the endurance race, a moment that remains one of the most celebrated achievements in McLaren’s motorsport history.
The McLaren 750S Le Mans is based on the recently launched 750S, the lightest and most powerful series-production McLaren to date. Only 50 units of this exclusive model will be manufactured, making it one of the rarest special editions ever released by the brand. This limited production run is intended to appeal to collectors and enthusiasts of both high-performance cars and racing history.
Design and Aesthetics
The exterior of the 750S Le Mans features several unique styling cues that set it apart from the standard version. It comes in two signature colors—McLaren Orange and Sarthe Grey—both reminiscent of the brand’s racing heritage. The car is fitted with a vented front fender design, inspired by the original McLaren F1 GTR race car. The bespoke five-spoke LM wheels are also finished in a unique metallic tone exclusive to this edition.
The Le Mans branding is evident throughout the car, including a dedicated badge on the fender, special etching on the carbon fiber door sills, and the "24 Heures du Mans" logo embedded in the rear wing end plates.
Interior and Features
Inside the cabin, the 750S Le Mans continues the motorsport theme with Alcantara upholstery, carbon fiber trim, and contrast stitching that matches the exterior color scheme. The seats are embossed with the Le Mans logo, and a unique chassis number plaque indicates the car’s position within the limited production run.
As with the standard 750S, the car includes a fully digital instrument cluster, McLaren’s latest infotainment system, and an array of driver-focused controls that emphasize performance without compromising comfort or usability.
Performance and Engineering
Powering the 750S Le Mans is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine found in the standard 750S, producing 740 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of over 330 km/h. With McLaren’s commitment to lightweight construction, the 750S Le Mans maintains a dry weight of just 1,277 kg, ensuring exceptional agility and responsiveness.
Availability and Pricing
Production of the 50 units will be split between McLaren’s global dealerships, with a select few likely to be allocated to the Indian market through McLaren's official India partner. While McLaren has not disclosed the exact pricing, the 750S Le Mans is expected to command a significant premium over the standard model, reflecting its exclusivity and heritage value.
In celebrating the legacy of Le Mans with modern performance engineering, the McLaren 750S Le Mans stands as a tribute to the brand’s racing spirit and its continued pursuit of automotive excellence.
