Safety features include multiple airbags, anti lock braking system, stability control, rear view camera, parking sensors, and advanced driver assistance systems based on market availability.

Mini has officially launched the latest Mini Cooper S Convertible in India at a price of Rs 58.50 lakh ex showroom. With this new model, the company continues to focus on offering niche lifestyle vehicles that combine iconic design with engaging driving dynamics. The convertible format has always been a strong attraction for the Mini brand, and the 2025 update aims to bring a refreshed experience to Indian buyers.

The new Cooper S Convertible retains its trademark compact silhouette and distinctive round headlamps. The exterior has been updated with subtle styling enhancements, including redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheels, and a more refined grille. The most recognisable element remains the electrically operated soft top, which can be fully opened or closed within seconds. The roof also features a sunroof like mode that partially opens for ventilation without fully retracting, allowing additional flexibility for city and highway driving.

Under the hood, the Mini Cooper S Convertible is powered by a two litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers sporty performance. The engine is paired with a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission that ensures quick shifts and responsive acceleration. Mini claims that the car maintains its signature go kart feel, offering sharp handling and an engaging driving experience. Despite being a lifestyle vehicle, the convertible balances performance with everyday usability.

Inside the cabin, the Cooper S Convertible features a redesigned dashboard, improved material quality, and a feature rich infotainment system. The centrepiece is the circular touchscreen display that integrates navigation, connectivity options, and vehicle functions. The car supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with connected car features that allow users to access vehicle information through a mobile app. Seating is offered in premium upholstery, and the rear seats can be folded to enhance luggage capacity.

Safety features include multiple airbags, anti lock braking system, stability control, rear view camera, parking sensors, and advanced driver assistance systems based on market availability. Mini has also expanded the range of customisation options, allowing buyers to personalise the colour scheme, roof pattern, upholstery, and interior trims.

The company aims to appeal to customers who value style, exclusivity, and open top motoring. Convertible cars have a limited but dedicated audience in India, and the Mini Cooper S Convertible positions itself as one of the few luxury soft top models available in the market. The car combines urban practicality with premium design elements, making it suitable for both daily commuting and leisure drives.

Mini has already opened bookings at authorised dealerships, and deliveries are expected to begin shortly. The launch strengthens Mini’s product portfolio in India, which includes hatchbacks, convertibles, and performance oriented John Cooper Works variants. The Cooper S Convertible is expected to attract enthusiasts seeking a distinctive car with strong brand heritage.

The car supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with connected car features that allow users to access vehicle information through a mobile app.
