Tata Motors has also equipped these variants with a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof.

Tata Motors has expanded its SUV portfolio in India by introducing the new Adventure X variants of its flagship models, the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari. These newly launched trims are priced from Rs 1899000 for the Harrier and Rs 1994000 for the Safari, and are aimed at consumers seeking a bold and capable vehicle with enhanced off-road styling.

The Adventure X variants are based on the existing Adventure series that Tata Motors introduced in 2023. Positioned above the standard Adventure variants and below the top-spec trims, the new models bring additional cosmetic enhancements and equipment updates. The focus remains on providing a more outdoorsy and premium look without altering the core mechanical specifications of the SUVs.

Visually, both the Harrier and Safari Adventure X variants feature a new exclusive shade called Lunar White. They also come with darkened exterior elements including blacked-out alloy wheels, roof rails, skid plates and badging. These design tweaks contribute to a more aggressive and rugged appearance, ideal for SUV buyers with a taste for outdoor exploration.

Inside, the cabin gets a contrasting theme with earthy tones and dark trim inserts, adding a sense of sophistication to the utilitarian style. Tata Motors has also equipped these variants with a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control and advanced driver assistance systems depending on the variant.

The Adventure X variants continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine which produces 170 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The drive remains front-wheel-based as Tata has not yet introduced an all-wheel-drive system in either model.

Tata Motors stated that the Adventure X trims are designed to cater to the growing segment of buyers who want a more commanding presence on the road along with a capable and feature-rich package. The company also emphasized that these variants reflect the brand’s commitment to design innovation and customer preferences.

Industry experts believe that this move by Tata Motors strengthens its product lineup in the competitive mid-size SUV segment. With rivals like the Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcazar offering feature-rich options, the Harrier and Safari Adventure X variants are likely to attract buyers looking for a distinctive blend of style and practicality.

Bookings for the Adventure X variants are now open at Tata dealerships and through the brand’s online portal. Deliveries are expected to begin soon across major cities. With this launch, Tata Motors continues to reinforce its position in the Indian SUV market by offering more choices and customisation for its customers.

These newly launched trims are priced from Rs 1899000 for the Harrier and Rs 1994000 for the Safari, and are aimed at consumers seeking a bold and capable vehicle with enhanced off-road styling.
