At the 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), Toyota introduced the Innova BEV Concept, a fully-electric 7-seater MPV. This concept model is equipped with a 59.3 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack, providing 700Nm of torque. The design closely resembles the existing Innova Crysta, featuring sportier headlamps, a closed-off grille, and a revised bumper section.
The battery configuration includes several smaller modules on the floorboard and a larger unit in the engine bay, with the charger and inverter positioned at the vehicle's rear side. The Innova BEV supports Type-2 AC and CCS-2 DC chargers. However, specific details about its range and charging time have not been disclosed.
While the unveiling highlights Toyota's commitment to carbon neutrality, there is no official confirmation regarding the launch of the Innova BEV in India. The current Innova Crysta in India is available with a diesel powertrain, priced between ₹19.99 lakh and ₹26.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
As the automotive industry evolves, the introduction of electric vehicles like the Innova BEV Concept signifies a significant step towards sustainable mobility solutions.
