Hyundai is preparing to bring a major update to its popular compact SUV, the Venue, and recent spy shots have revealed several notable upgrades. The next-generation Venue, currently undergoing road testing, is set to feature a refreshed design, upgraded technology, and advanced safety systems, positioning it as a stronger contender in India’s fast-growing SUV market.
One of the most striking changes visible from the test vehicle is the redesigned exterior. The SUV showcases sharper styling with a bolder front grille, new LED headlamps, and updated alloy wheels, giving it a more dynamic road presence. At the rear, redesigned tail lamps and subtle tweaks to the bumper design suggest Hyundai’s intent to offer a fresh look while retaining the Venue’s recognizable identity.
Inside the cabin, the Venue is expected to receive a significant overhaul. The most talked-about addition is the new dual-screen setup, which combines a fully digital driver’s display with a larger infotainment touchscreen. This configuration mirrors the design seen in Hyundai’s more premium models, signaling a move toward offering higher-end features in the compact segment. Enhanced connectivity features, wireless updates, and improved user interfaces are also likely to be part of the package.
In terms of safety, the next-gen Venue is tipped to introduce Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These features may include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. If implemented, the Venue would join a growing list of compact SUVs in India offering advanced safety technology, aligning with Hyundai’s strategy of equipping even entry-level models with modern driver aids.
Mechanical details remain under wraps, but the new Venue is expected to retain the current powertrain options, including the 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines. However, Hyundai could fine-tune these for better efficiency and performance. Transmission options are likely to include manual, iMT, and automatic gearboxes, catering to diverse customer preferences.
The SUV’s comfort and practicality are also expected to improve. Reports suggest enhanced seat materials, additional storage spaces, and more refined cabin ergonomics. Hyundai may also introduce new features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and an upgraded Bose audio system to appeal to urban buyers seeking premium amenities at an affordable price point.
The compact SUV market in India remains one of the most competitive, with strong contenders such as the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, and Mahindra XUV300. With the Venue already among Hyundai’s best-selling models, the upcoming version is strategically important to maintain its dominance in the segment.
Industry experts believe the new Venue could debut in 2025, with pricing slightly higher than the current model owing to the addition of new technology and design upgrades. The company is expected to unveil more details closer to launch, generating anticipation among potential buyers.
With its blend of updated styling, modern interiors, and cutting-edge safety features, the next-generation Hyundai Venue looks poised to strengthen Hyundai’s foothold in India’s compact SUV space, offering customers a perfect mix of innovation, comfort, and value.
