Mahindra has officially announced the nationwide availability of its much-anticipated electric vehicle models, the BE 6 and the XUV.e9 Pack Two. This strategic rollout marks a significant step in the company’s vision to become a key player in India’s rapidly growing electric vehicle segment. Both models are part of Mahindra's Born Electric lineup, first revealed to the public in 2022, and are now ready for broader market access.
The BE 6 is an electric SUV that embodies bold, futuristic styling. It features a coupe-like silhouette, aerodynamic design, and a spacious interior. Built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, the BE 6 is expected to deliver a driving range of approximately 450 to 500 kilometres on a single charge, depending on road conditions and usage. The vehicle offers advanced features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, connected car technologies, and multiple drive modes to enhance user experience.
The XUV.e9 Pack Two is the second phase of the XUV.e9 series, another electric SUV based on the INGLO platform. It carries forward the aggressive styling and rugged build quality associated with Mahindra’s XUV brand while introducing electric-specific design cues such as a closed grille and LED lighting elements. The Pack Two version is expected to feature improved battery management systems, enhanced thermal efficiency, and faster charging capabilities. Like the BE 6, it offers a long driving range and is designed for both urban commuting and long-distance travel.
Both models are equipped with safety features including multiple airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock braking system, and advanced driver assistance systems that are expected to be revealed in further detail closer to customer deliveries. The interior design reflects a blend of luxury and practicality, offering high-grade materials, ergonomic layouts, and ample cargo space.
Mahindra’s decision to make these models available across India comes at a time when consumer interest in electric vehicles is at an all-time high. With government incentives, improved charging infrastructure, and rising fuel costs, electric mobility is becoming more viable for the average Indian car buyer. Mahindra aims to capitalize on this shift by offering compelling EV options that combine performance, style, and affordability.
The company is also working closely with public and private players to expand the charging ecosystem, which remains a critical factor for EV adoption. Mahindra has already partnered with various infrastructure providers to ensure that customers have access to fast and reliable charging networks across major cities and highways.
The BE 6 and XUV.e9 Pack Two are now available for pre-booking at Mahindra dealerships and through the company’s official website. Deliveries are expected to begin in phases starting early next year. Pricing details have not been officially disclosed but are expected to be competitive with other electric SUVs in the market.
With the launch of these two models across India, Mahindra aims to reaffirm its commitment to sustainable mobility and strengthen its position in the growing EV landscape.
