MG Motor India has marked a significant achievement by rolling out the 15,000th unit of its Windsor EV, reinforcing its strong presence in the Indian electric vehicle market. The milestone highlights the growing demand for eco-friendly mobility solutions and MG’s commitment to advancing EV technology in the country.
The Windsor EV, known for its efficient performance, cutting-edge features, and stylish design, has gained popularity among urban commuters. However, MG Motor’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, which allows customers to purchase the car separately from the battery to lower upfront costs, has witnessed limited adoption. While the concept is widely used in global markets, Indian consumers have been slow to embrace battery-swapping models, preferring traditional EV ownership.
Despite the gradual acceptance of BaaS, MG continues to focus on expanding its EV infrastructure, charging network, and after-sales services. The company aims to make electric mobility more accessible and practical for Indian buyers.
With the Windsor EV production crossing 15,000 units, MG Motor India is set to further strengthen its position in the competitive EV segment, introducing more innovations to drive sustainable and affordable electric mobility in the country.
