Tata Motors has expanded the visual appeal of its Nexon EV 45 variants by introducing two new colour options: Pure Grey and Ocean Blue. These additions allow customers to customise their vehicles with contrasting roof treatments, depending on the variant. On the Fearless and Empowered 45 trims, the new shades are paired with a black roof, while the Creative 45 trim features a white roof. These updates broaden the choices available to buyers beyond the existing palette, which includes Pristine White Dual Tone, Daytona Grey, Empowered Oxide, and Dark Edition Carbon Black.
The new colours are currently available only on the 45 kWh battery variants of the Tata Nexon EV. The Nexon EV 45 is equipped with a 46.08 kWh battery pack and a single electric motor rated at 144 bhp and 215 Nm of torque. Tata claims a MIDC range of 489 km for this variant. Charging options include a 7.2 kW AC home wall box that fully charges the battery from 10 to 100 per cent in approximately 6 hours and 36 minutes. For faster charging, a 60 kW DC fast charger can charge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in about 40 minutes, making it suitable for quick top-ups on the go.
Interior and technology upgrades in the Nexon EV 45 include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch HD digital instrument cluster, and high-end features such as a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, air purifier, Type-C ports, sunroof, JBL audio system, and voice commands. These features are available in the higher trims, enhancing the overall comfort and convenience for occupants.
Since its launch, the Tata Nexon EV has played a key role in India’s EV adoption, becoming one of the country’s most popular electric vehicles. Tata Motors has achieved significant milestones with this model, including being the first EV in India to cross 1,00,000 cumulative sales. The vehicle is offered in multiple trims and battery options, allowing buyers to choose according to their range and feature preferences.
The new colour additions further reinforce Tata’s strategy to keep the Nexon EV appealing to urban customers who value style alongside sustainability. With these updates, Tata Motors continues to consolidate its position as a leader in India’s electric vehicle market while addressing the growing demand for personalised EV options.
As India’s EV market expands, models like the Nexon EV are expected to drive adoption, offering long-range capabilities, premium features, and multiple customization options. The new Pure Grey and Ocean Blue shades provide an aesthetic boost for buyers looking to combine performance with visual appeal.
