Indian electric vehicle manufacturer Ultraviolette has taken a major step in connected two-wheeler technology by unveiling an AI-powered voice assistant called “Violette” at CES 2026. The new system has been integrated into the company’s flagship electric motorcycle, the Ultraviolette F77, and is designed to offer riders a more intuitive and hands-free riding experience.
The AI voice assistant has been co-developed with SoundHound AI, a global leader in voice-enabled artificial intelligence solutions. By partnering with SoundHound AI, Ultraviolette aims to bring advanced natural language processing capabilities to its electric motorcycles. The assistant allows riders to interact with their vehicle using simple voice commands, similar to how users interact with virtual assistants on smartphones and smart devices.
According to Ultraviolette, “Violette” is designed to help riders access important information without taking their hands off the handlebars or their eyes off the road. Riders can use voice commands to check vehicle status, battery levels, range estimates, navigation-related information and other connected features. This hands-free interaction is expected to improve both convenience and safety, especially during urban commuting and long-distance rides.
The introduction of an AI voice assistant highlights Ultraviolette’s software-first approach to electric vehicle development. Unlike traditional motorcycles that rely primarily on mechanical performance, the F77 has been positioned as a technology-driven electric motorcycle with advanced connectivity features. The addition of voice interaction further strengthens its identity as a smart, connected vehicle.
Ultraviolette’s F77 already comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster and connected features that allow riders to access ride analytics and system updates. The AI assistant builds on this foundation by offering a more natural and interactive way to engage with the motorcycle’s systems. The company has indicated that the assistant will support continuous learning and updates, allowing new features and commands to be added over time through software upgrades.
Showcasing the technology at CES 2026 places Ultraviolette among a growing list of global manufacturers focusing on software innovation in mobility. CES has increasingly become a platform for automakers and EV startups to present cutting-edge digital and AI-driven solutions, and Ultraviolette’s presence reflects India’s expanding role in the global electric mobility ecosystem.
Industry observers note that voice-enabled interfaces are becoming increasingly important as vehicles grow more connected. For two-wheelers, where rider attention and safety are critical, voice interaction offers a practical way to access information without distraction. Ultraviolette’s implementation of this technology could set a benchmark for future electric motorcycles in the premium segment.
While the company has not yet announced a timeline for the commercial rollout of the “Violette” voice assistant, its debut at CES 2026 suggests that the feature could be introduced in upcoming software updates or future variants of the F77. As electric motorcycles continue to evolve, features such as AI voice assistants are expected to play a key role in defining the next generation of connected riding experiences.
