New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently conducted surprise inspections at 29 schools spread across five states and one Union Territory (UT) as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure adherence to educational standards and maintain the quality of education. The inspections, which took place over the past week, were carried out to verify that the schools were complying with CBSE guidelines and regulations.

The CBSE team focused on several aspects during the surprise checks, including the infrastructure, teaching methods, student-teacher ratio, adherence to safety protocols, and the overall academic environment. Schools were also assessed on their transparency in fee structures, availability of resources, and quality of learning materials.

This initiative by the CBSE is part of its broader efforts to improve the functioning of affiliated schools and ensure that students are provided with a conducive learning environment. The inspections come in the wake of complaints regarding the mismanagement of school operations, including fee hikes, lack of facilities, and improper implementation of curriculum.

According to CBSE officials, these surprise visits are being conducted periodically to identify discrepancies and ensure that schools are meeting the expected educational standards. The findings from the recent inspections will be used to assess the performance of the schools and take corrective action if necessary.

The board has emphasized that it will continue to monitor schools across the country to ensure that the quality of education and student welfare are not compromised. In cases where schools are found to be non-compliant, the CBSE may impose penalties or take further action.
