This statement came in response to concerns raised by several Members of Parliament who questioned the integrity of the examination process and the fairness extended to lakhs of aspirants across the country.

During a session in the Rajya Sabha, the Central Government officially clarified that there was no paper leak in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2025, commonly known as NEET UG. This statement came in response to concerns raised by several Members of Parliament who questioned the integrity of the examination process and the fairness extended to lakhs of aspirants across the country.

The Education Ministry, speaking through a written response, emphasized that the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is responsible for conducting NEET UG, had implemented robust measures to secure the examination process. According to the ministry, every stage of the exam, from question paper creation to distribution and collection, was conducted under strict surveillance and protocol.

The ministry further explained that there was no credible evidence or verified complaint indicating a paper leak in any region. While some isolated reports and rumors were circulated on social media and other platforms, none were substantiated upon verification. The government urged citizens and media outlets to refrain from spreading unverified information that could harm the credibility of national-level entrance exams.

To ensure complete transparency, the NTA had engaged in real-time monitoring, installed CCTV surveillance at exam centers, deployed flying squads, and utilized sealed question paper packets with digital tracking. Biometric verification of candidates was also conducted at various centers to prevent impersonation and malpractice.

The ministry highlighted that over 22 lakh students appeared for NEET UG 2025 in more than 500 cities across India. Despite the large scale of the examination, no major discrepancies were reported, and the entire process was completed within the scheduled timeline without significant disruption.

Officials reassured the public and students that the government is fully committed to preserving the credibility of competitive examinations. Any allegations or concerns will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly, but as of now, no factual basis has been found for claims of a paper leak.

In addition, the government pointed out that the integrity of such national-level exams is vital for millions of students, especially those from rural and economically weaker backgrounds who depend on merit-based selection. Ensuring fairness and equal opportunity remains a top priority.

Education experts have also emphasized that while vigilance is essential, false narratives surrounding entrance exams can cause unnecessary panic among students. They urged stakeholders to rely on verified sources and official communication for updates related to examinations.

In conclusion, the government has made it clear that NEET UG 2025 was conducted securely and that rumors of a paper leak are unfounded. Students are encouraged to focus on their academic goals, and the government will continue to strengthen systems to protect the sanctity of such critical assessments in the future.

The ministry further explained that there was no credible evidence or verified complaint indicating a paper leak in any region.
