Jharkhand has introduced a set of specialised training programmes aimed at preparing its youth for careers in some of the fastest-growing sectors in India, including drone technology, electric vehicle mobility and healthcare services. The initiative is part of the state government’s broader plan to improve employability, strengthen technical capacity and ensure that young people are equipped to meet the demands of emerging industries. Officials say the programmes are designed to offer practical skills, industry-aligned modules and certification that can open doors to a wide range of job opportunities.

The training in drone technology focuses on areas such as drone operation, aerial mapping, surveillance, agricultural monitoring and data processing. With the increasing use of unmanned aerial systems in agriculture, mining, disaster management and infrastructure planning, the state expects strong employment potential over the coming years. Trainees will learn to operate different categories of drones, understand regulatory guidelines and apply drone-based solutions in real-world tasks.

In the electric vehicle mobility segment, the curriculum includes EV maintenance, battery management systems, charging infrastructure operations and basic electrical diagnostics. As India transitions towards a greener mobility ecosystem, the demand for EV technicians and service professionals is rising in both urban and semi-urban regions. Officials believe that trained youth from Jharkhand will be well positioned to join manufacturing units, service centres, logistics firms and EV-related startups.

The healthcare training component addresses workforce requirements in medical support roles such as emergency care, patient assistance, diagnostics and community health. This sector continues to provide stable employment opportunities, especially in districts with expanding healthcare services. Students will receive classroom instruction along with practical exposure through training partners and local health facilities. The modules are designed to develop skills in patient management, basic medical procedures and equipment handling.

To ensure effective implementation, the state government is collaborating with industry trainers, accredited institutions and private partners. These collaborations aim to maintain quality standards and provide participants with hands-on experience using modern equipment and tools. The programmes also include career counselling, job readiness sessions and placement support to help trainees transition into the workforce.

According to officials, the initiative also aligns with Jharkhand’s economic development goals. By building a skilled workforce within the state, the government hopes to attract new investments and encourage industries to set up operations locally. The programme is expected to benefit youth from both urban and rural areas, with priority given to students from economically weaker sections.

Authorities have stated that more training centres will be added in the coming months based on demand and enrolment numbers. Awareness drives are being conducted at schools, colleges and community centres to encourage eligible youth to register. With focused training in areas that promise strong future growth, Jharkhand aims to position its young population for long-term career success and contribute to the state’s technological and industrial development.
