The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board has assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and will take appropriate action against those involved in spreading false claims.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board has strongly denied rumours regarding an alleged leak of the Karnataka Second Pre University Course examination question papers. The clarification comes just days before the commencement of the 2nd PUC examinations, amid growing concern among students and parents due to claims circulating on social media platforms.

According to the board, the reports suggesting a question paper leak are entirely false and misleading. Officials stated that certain individuals are attempting to create panic and confusion by spreading unverified information online. The board emphasized that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the security and confidentiality of the examination process.

Media reports indicated that several posts and short videos were being shared on platforms such as Instagram, claiming that the 2nd PUC question papers could be obtained in advance for a fee. In some cases, imposters allegedly demanded a payment of Rs 100 from students, promising to provide the examination papers after receiving the amount. One of the circulated messages reportedly claimed that students would receive the question paper upon payment.

The board has warned students not to fall prey to such fraudulent schemes. Officials clarified that there has been no breach in the examination system and that the question papers remain secure. They urged students and parents to avoid sharing unverified content and to report suspicious messages to the appropriate authorities.

The Karnataka 2nd PUC examinations are a significant milestone for students, as the results play an important role in higher education admissions. The circulation of false information just before the examination has added unnecessary stress to candidates. The board reiterated that spreading misinformation is a serious offence and may attract legal consequences.

Authorities have advised students to prepare for the examinations with confidence and to rely only on official communications issued by the board. They also stressed the importance of verifying information through authentic sources before believing or forwarding any claims related to the examination.

Education experts note that misinformation during examination season has become a recurring challenge due to the rapid spread of content on social media platforms. Such rumours can disrupt the academic environment and cause anxiety among students. Boards and educational authorities across the country have repeatedly cautioned students against engaging with individuals who claim to provide leaked papers or inside information.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board has assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and will take appropriate action against those involved in spreading false claims. Students have been encouraged to focus on their studies and approach the examinations calmly.

The board’s clarification aims to restore confidence and ensure that the examination process proceeds smoothly without disruption. Further updates, if any, will be communicated through official channels.
