The updated timeline provides candidates with additional time to register and participate in the counselling process, ensuring no eligible candidate is left out due to time constraints.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an updated schedule for Round 3 of NEET PG 2024 counselling. This revision comes in response to delays in state-level counselling processes and the recent announcement of Round-2 results in Rajasthan. The updated timeline provides candidates with additional time to register and participate in the counselling process, ensuring no eligible candidate is left out due to time constraints.

According to the revised schedule, candidates can now register for Round 3 of NEET PG 2024 counselling until January 22, 2025. The choice filling and locking window will be open from January 12 to January 23, 2025, allowing candidates to select and finalize their preferences for medical colleges and postgraduate programs. Following this, the seat allotment process will be conducted from January 23 to January 24, 2025. The results of the seat allotment will be declared on January 25, 2025, providing candidates with clarity on their allocations.

Once the seat allotment results are announced, candidates will have the reporting period from January 26 to February 3, 2025. During this time, they must report to their allotted institutes to complete the admission formalities. This includes document verification, fee payment, and confirmation of their seats. The MCC has emphasized that institutes will verify the candidates' data between February 4 and February 5, 2025, ensuring all details are accurate before the finalization of admissions.

The MCC has stated that Round 3 will be the final opportunity for upgradation in the NEET PG 2024 counselling process. Candidates are strongly encouraged to complete their registrations, submit preferences, and report within the prescribed deadlines. Failure to do so may result in losing their eligibility for the current round.

This revision in the counselling schedule has been welcomed by many candidates who were facing challenges due to the delayed state-level counselling processes. It allows them ample time to make informed decisions and participate without undue pressure.
